Direction

• How to open and prepare the dispenser
  • Push the black button down until it can be pushed lightly inwards.
  • While pressing the button in, slide it upwards until the top of the dispenser locks into place.
  • Before first use, prime the pump by pressing the top firmly into a tissue until a fine mist appears. Repeat if the spray has not been used for a couple of days.
• How to use the spray
  • Press the top of the dispenser firmly to release one spray into the mouth, under the tongue or onto the inside of the cheek, avoiding the lips.
  • Do not inhale the spray or direct it towards the throat.
  • Wait a few seconds before swallowing and follow the pack instructions.
  • If one spray does not relieve the craving, a second spray may be used, without exceeding the recommended dose.
  • To close the dispenser, slide the button down until it can be pushed lightly inwards, then press it in and slide down to lock.
• Stopping smoking immediately
  • Weeks 1–6: Use 1–2 sprays when you would normally smoke or experience cravings, generally every 30 minutes to 1 hour as needed.
  • Weeks 7–9: Begin reducing the number of sprays used each day.
  • Weeks 10–12: Gradually reduce use to 2–4 sprays per day, then stop.
  • Do not use more than 4 sprays per hour over 16 hours or 64 sprays per day.
• Gradually cutting down
  • Gradually increase mouth spray use as needed while reducing the number of cigarettes smoked.
  • Do not exceed 4 sprays per hour over 16 hours or 64 sprays per day.
  • Aim to stop smoking within 6 months.
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have not reduced smoking after 6 weeks or stopped after 9 months.
• Using the app
  • Use NFC technology to connect the Nicorette SmartTrack Mouth Spray with the Nicorette Stop Smoking app, where available, to track NRT use, set personalised goals, access quitting tips and monitor smoke-free days.
